Mr. Makin joined Guggenheim Partners in 2011 and has over 20 years’ experience in the financial markets across a variety of fields including portfolio management, risk and performance management, product development and trade execution. He currently oversees strategy implementation, working with co-portfolio managers, research analysts and traders to manage day-to-day risk. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners, he has worked as a Senior Equity Analyst at ABN-AMRO in New York where he covered and published research on global telecom companies. Mr. Makin holds a BA in European History from the University of Colorado.

He is responsible for portfolio optimization and development as well as maintaining the systems. He has previously worked for Oppenheimer Institutional’s small-cap value portfolio management desk as well as for State Street Global Advisors global equity trading analytics. Prior to this, Mr. Einstein was CTO and founding partner at Elkweb Information Systems, an internet technology and information firm. Farhan Sharaff Assistant CIO, Equities 2013 now
自傳 Farhan Sharaff has served as a Portfolio Manager for each Fund since 2017. He is Assistant Chief Investment Officer, Equities, Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of Guggenheim Partners. Mr. Sharaff joined Guggenheim Partners in May 2009. Mr. Sharaff has more than 30 years of experience in investment research and investment management. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners, he was a Partner and Chief Investment Officer at MJX Capital Advisors, a wealth management firm focused on providing advice and investment management for its clients, especially in the traditional and alternative asset classes and Guggenheim Investments plc. Prior to that, Mr. Sharaff served as the global Chief Investment Officer at CIGNA Corporation, Zurich Scudder Investments and Citigroup. In all of the above engagements, Mr. Sharaff was responsible for research, investment management, product development and investment risk management. He was also a member of the business management teams at Citigroup and Zurich Scudder. Mr. Sharaff has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Aston (U.K.) and an MBA in Finance from the Manchester Business School (U.K.). In addition, Mr. Sharaff sits on boards of CITIC Capital Asset Management, Clarfeld Financial Advisors, and Guggenheim Global Investment plc.

Prior to Guggenheim, Mr. Flowers was a founding partner of Adventure Capital, a Venture Capital and Merchant Banking company. Previously Mr. Flowers was at Credit Suisse First Boston, Dominick & Dominick Inc., and Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Flowers holds a B.A. in Economics from Union College.
Scott Hammond Portfolio Manager 2013 2018
自傳 Mr. Hammond is a Managing Director of Guggenheim’s Equities Strategies and a Portfolio Manager for Guggenheim’s Value, Minimum Volatility and Transparent Value strategies. He joined the firm in 2009 as a dedicated resource for Transparent Value. Since that time Mr. Hammond’s role at Guggenheim has expanded to include broader support of the Guggenheim Equities business. Prior to joining Guggenheim, Mr. Hammond was Head of ETF Portfolio Management at Northern Trust where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio of international ETF funds. Additionally, he served as a Portfolio Manager at Barclays Global Investors with responsibilities for the management of $90 billion in institutional assets. Mr. Hammond received a B.A. in Economics from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Purdue University’s Krannert Graduate School of Management.
Ole Jakob Wold Portfolio Manager 2013 2017
自傳 Ole Jakob Wold joined DNB Asset Management in 2017 as a Portfolio Manager and Head of our Systematic Active Equity team. Prior to joining DNB Asset Management, Ole Jakob was a manager of Guggenheim Partners for seven years. Before that he was the CEO of Alfred Berg Aktiv Forvaltning for many years. Ole Jakob is a Civil Economist from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Mr. Wold earned a “Siviløkonom” (civil economics) degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in 1994. He majored in finance, with studies in empirical finance and a thesis on quantitative models used on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
Nardin Baker Portfolio Manager 2013 2015
自傳 Nardin Baker, CFA, Portfolio Manager of Security Investors and Chief Strategist of the Global Alpha Equity team of Guggenheim Partners. Mr. Baker has been managing assets since 1988 and joined Guggenheim Partners in 2010. He oversees all portfolio management functions and is actively involved in research, model development and product development. Mr. Baker is a well known expert in the field of multi-factor analysis. He researched and developed the theory behind the quantitative investment model together with Prof. Robert Haugen. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners, Mr. Baker was CIO and portfolio manager of South Street Investment Advisors and CIO for non-US developed markets at Batterymarch Financial Management. Mr. Baker previously directed the Global Asset Allocation group for Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC (GMO) in Boston. He also led the Tax-sensitive Equities area at GMO. Before that, he directed the quantitative equity management group for National Investment Services of America (NISA) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Michael J. Dellapa Director 2011 2013
自傳 Dellapa joined Rydex Investments in 2000 as a research analyst and was promoted to portfolio manager in 2003. In 2005, Dellapa became director of investment research and in 2007 became the director of Alternative Investment Strategies. Prior to joining Rydex Advisors, LLC, Mr. Dellapa worked as an equity analyst for Invista Capital and systems analyst for Accenture. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Maryland and MBA from the University of Chicago. Previously, he was owner/consultant of Dellapa Consulting Inc. as well as a senior consultant and an analyst at Andersen Consulting. Dellapa holds the Charted Financial Analyst designation.

Michael P. Byrum Vice President 2011 2013
自傳 Michael P. Byrum, CFA, Senior Vice President—Mr. Byrum has been associated with the Security Investors since 1993. Mr. Byrum was the inaugural portfolio manager for many of the Rydex products, including the Rydex leveraged and inverse funds, sector fund lineup and alternative investment portfolios. Today, Mr. Byrum continues to play an instrumental role in product development and investment strategy at Guggenheim Investments and oversees the trading, research and portfolio management activities of the quantitative strategies team, which focuses on target beta, alternative and asset allocation strategies. He is the chairman of the Investment Strategy Committee and is a member of the Risk Management Committee and Credit Review Committee. Prior to joining the Security Investors, Mr. Byrum served in a brokerage capacity with Money Management Associates, the registered investment advisor to Rushmore Funds, Inc. He earned a B.S. in finance from the Miami University of Ohio. He also has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Washington.
