| 自傳 | Akmal was promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Asian Islamic Investment Management Sdn Bhd (“AIIMAN”) on 18 November 2010. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Director of Investments and was responsible for managing the overall portfolio of funds from retail to institutional as well as marketing. Akmal brings with him extensive experience within the investment management industry which spans over fourteen (14) years. Within this time, he was involved in both portfolio management functions and investment research. Before joining AIIMAN, Akmal served as the Chief Investment Officer at Muamalat Invest Sdn Bhd (“Muamalat”) where he managed domestic Islamic equities and fixed income mandates. Prior to his tenure at Muamalat, Akmal was a fund manager at a local asset management company, where he was part of a team managing funds for investments in Malaysia as well as the Asia ex-Japan markets. His key equities coverage included corporations in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Akmal began his career in the investment management industry with the AmInvestment Group and he was also attached to Jupiter Research as an analyst focusing on construction and property. Akmal graduated from the Oklahoma State University, USA with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance (BSc) and completed his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. | ||

| 自傳 | Esther Teo is the Head of Fixed Income Investment. She is the Designated Fund Manager for the fixed income investment of the Funds. Prior to joining the Manager, Esther Teo was a Portfolio Manager with HDBSAM and responsible for managing fixed income investment of corporate clients and unit trust funds. Prior to this, she was attached with the fixed income division of RHB Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. covering both institutional and unit trust mandates for 3 years. She began her career in KPMG Malaysia in 1999 as a consultant in financial advisory services specializing in corporate debt restructuring and recovery. Esther graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance. Esther holds a valid and existing Capital Markets and Services Representative’s Licence from the SC since 29 April 2004 to act as a Fund Manager and to carry out fund management in securities. | ||

| 自傳 | Mr David joined Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad in 2002 as Head of Equities and assumed the role of Chief Investment Officer in September 2006. David was initially signed on as a Senior Portfolio Manager in HwangDBS IM on 1 June 2005. David currently holds a valid and existing Capital Markets and Services Representative’s Licence to carry out fund management in securities. He graduated with both Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Law degrees from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and he has also attained the status of Chartered Financial Analyst. In total, David has over 7 years of equities investment experience in managing both institutional and unit trust funds. Prior to joining HwangDBS IM, he spent 5 years at HLG Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. and 2 years at HDBSAM as a Fund Manager. Apart from managing funds, he was also tasked with setting up the fixed income investment infrastructure and process and was also involved in overseeing the management of fixed income mandates at HLG Asset Management prior to his departure. One of the key responsibilities of David at HwangDBS IM is the setting of investment strategy for the assets under management. He graduated with a double degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Law from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. | ||
