Brian is a member of the of the Strategic Policy Group (SPG), the company’s global macro research and asset allocation committee. He also chairs the Fixed Income & Currency research sub group, and is a member of the Economic and Asset Class Research sub groups. Brian joined Barings in 2016 from RBS Global Banking & Markets, where he was a Director on the Global Desk Macro Strategy. During his tenure at RBS, Brian also held the roles of VP, G-10 Rates Strategy, VP in RBS asset Management, and Associate in Leverage Finance. Brian holds a PhD in Genetics and an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of East Anglia, and a BSc (Hons) first class in Agricultural Sciences from Africa University, Zimbabwe. | ||

自傳 | Hartwig Kos, co-investment manager of the Baring Dynamic Emerging Markets Fund and member of our Global Multi Asset Group, could have ended up as an archaeologist, unearthing ancient tombs and temples, if it hadn’t been for the intervention of his grandfather. ‘Grandpa’ Kos had been a budding economist at the University of Basel, and recommended both the Swiss college – and the comparatively modern discipline – as a way of satisfying young Hartwig’s thirst for knowledge and abstract thought. “I had studied Latin and Greek at school and dreamt one day I’d become like Indiana Jones, but my grandpa said I was more suited to economics than ancient languages, and the rest is history.” | ||

自傳 | Christopher is an Investment Manager and Director of Asset Allocation Research in the Global Multi Asset Group. He was appointed to the Strategic Policy Group (SPG), the company’s global macro research and asset allocation team in 2013. He joined Barings in September 2012 from Momentum Global Investment Management. At Momentum he was the Head of Investment Strategy, responsible for the asset allocation and portfolio construction teams and was the lead portfolio manager for their flagship multi asset funds. Christopher began his career at Oliver Wyman where he helped advise a number of private equity and financial service clients. Christopher has a MA (Cantab) in Natural Sciences from Selwyn College, Cambridge University and was awarded the CFA designation in 2007. |
