Ms. Chen earned her doctorate in September 2005.Chen is a senior analyst on the Structured Equity team in Chicago. Prior to joining the firm or its predecessor, Chen was a research assistant with the Department of Information and Decision Sciences of the University of Illinois at Chicago. At Chicago, her work included microstructure market model estimation utilizing Sequential Monte Carlo method and index portfolio construction with statistically smoothed capitalization weights. Chen holds a B.S. in mathematics from Nanjing University, an M.S. in econometrics from Fudan University, and a Ph.D. in business statistics from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
